Flat Five is a funny name for a Marketing Firm.
In music, the flat five note is referred to the “blues note” and it’s served as the foundation of rock, blues and country music for nearly 80 years. When you hear musicians say they wrote your favorite song in 20 minutes, what they leave out is the fact they spent 20 years learning and studying music so they could learn to write a song in 20 minutes.
Same goes for marketing.
Simplicity is important. But simplicity is hard. The most successful music today is based on foundational, proven concepts. And you can never go wrong with the flat five note. So that’s our jam. And it can be your jam too.

Our story is generational. Brothers Darren and David were born and raised in Texas as the sons of a real-life copywriting Don Draper.
Stacking up years in the corporate marketing world, we eventually moved to the agency side nearly 20 years ago and never looked back.
We hand-picked trusted and smart friends who excel in marketing. And that’s our team. Digital, SEO, strategy, creative, social and analytical experts.
